During the early 60’s, surfing took off around the world. It was during these days that my father, Jim Driver, started getting interested in photography. During the day, Jim caught rides to the beach and photographed many of Southern California’s surfing inovators. At night, in his darkroom, he carefully developed his photos into classic images that captured the 60’s style.

What kind of car is that?
Anonymous - The non-operating kind.
Thanks, Bob D.
That's a 1950s Morris Minor, made in the UK. Great little cars - although Morris head honcho Lord Nuffield told designer Alec Issigonis (who later designed the Mini) it looked like "a poached egg on wheels". Great pics, cool site.
Marty - You Da Man! Thanks, Bob.

That was my 1952 Morris Minor. It had about 120,000 miles on it at the time. It would probably not pass any modern safety inspetion, new. Took about 200 yards to stop it from 60mph, if it ever reached that speed.
